For the rest of the year, we will focus on leadership. Our focus verse is from 1 Timothy 4:12, "Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." Leadership is defined as the act of guiding or directing.
Students are learning that we lead by our example. Our hope is that others will see our light, will see Jesus in us, and will want to know and have a relationship with Him!
We are also focusing on how do we know how or where God is leading us. We have learned that the best way to know where He is leading us is to be doing what He has already instructed us to do! This includes giving thanks in ALL circumstances, making disciples of all nations, loving one another, forgiving others, admitting when we are wrong and have sinned, and becoming a new creation in Him!
I have challenged our students to think of the leaders in their lives. What makes you admire that person and follow their lead? Most often, students say because they love me and I trust them!
We have encouraged the students if they have questions or want to know more about having Jesus in their hearts to reach out to their teacher, Miss Knight, another faculty member at school or me!
We are grateful to partner with our families to develop the whole person to the glory of God!
